Our History

Our Founding

1991: Rick and Rich Team Up

Cornerstone Architects began as a full service architectural firm specializing in healthcare new construction and renovation.

Having worked together at Marshall Erdman, a national design/build firm, founders Richard Peterson and Richard Morse felt strongly that their years of experience, coupled with their depth of knowledge in design, would shape the foundation for a firm dedicated to providing excellence in architectural services.

Transition of ownership begins

2016: New Partners

Rick and Rich eventually decided to get serious about pursuing their hobbies and offered two of the junior leaders of the firm a chance to increase their responsibilities. In the ensuing years Charlie and Erik have grown into their new roles and have begun the process of raising a new batch of leaders from within their ranks.

Brand Refresh Begins

2018: New Leaders, New Look

In 2018 Cornerstone decided to honor the increasing role that interior design services were paying in the firm by promoting Amanda Monger to Director of Interior Design and changing our official name to Cornerstone Architecture and Interior Design. We even spruced up the logo, hope you like it.
