Design and construction for a new 12,178 SF veterinary hospital. The facility offers flexibility for future expansion plans which include dog training classes and a dog wash. The program includes a centralized pharmacy and workroom that is conveniently accessible from multiple locations (i.e., front desk, all exam rooms, and lab/treatment area) which dictated the layout and flow of the floor plan. The program also includes a grieving room that exits to a private patio. There are multiple holding areas to easily separate sick animals from well animals. The large, open waiting room offers an expansive retail area and multiple seating options for guests.
Our client expressed their desire for top of the line design elements which include state of the art equipment. The Treatment Area features a central vacuum system. The Kennel Area contains a wet/dry vacuum system which eliminates both odors and the need for a trench drain. The clerestory provides an abundance of natural lighting in the Treatment Area. Solar tubes provide natural lighting in the Kennel Area for dog boarding. The cat boarding room offers full height cat condos, each with exterior window views.
