To help combat the daily stress of busy schedules, HDH wanted to provide a space for their Forest Campus physician’s to nourish, recharge, and relax. The new Physician’s Dining, Serving, and Lounge areas accomplish this through its design and finishes. During the design phase, we worked closely with the hospital to create a Service Area that will offer healthy, sit-down eating options, quick grab-and-go items, as well as a specialty coffee bar. The Dining Area offers an variety of seating options which include a private booth (an enclosed, bar-height work area) and open, community table seating areas, the largest of which comes complete with a wall-mounted, widescreen television. The Lounge Area provides a quiet work room, or recharging center, with work chairs, lounge seating, and low level lighting.
The spatial layout and calming finish palette complement each other well. We custom designed and built the bamboo dark wood dining tables, and layered the space with an array of textures including ceramic and glass tile, wood wallcovering, luxury vinyl tile flooring, and specialty lighting.
