This project was a renovation to a 1920s office and apartment building that features 20 apartments and two commercial spaces. Prior to this renovation, the building contained beautifully thought out early 20th century efficiency apartments with many touches of vintage style. Our goals during this project were to bring the building up to modern day code, without losing the qualities and characteristics that made it unique.
Cornerstone worked with historic consultants to retain original elements of the building as we converted it to house modern day living.
Special Touches: The old elevator shaft became a mail room and laundries, and the recessed folding dinettes were relocated so that they fit into the revised floor plans of each unit.
