Challenge: Henrico Doctors’ Hospital wanted to utilize their conferencing area at their Forest Campus in a different way. They also wanted a separate space that could help physician’s combat the daily stress of their busy schedules.
Client Ask: They needed a flexible space that could be easily converted to function for large group assemblies, training classes, or boardroom meetings, and a second space where physician’s could go to for nourishment, recharging, and relaxation.
Solution: The furniture selected for the conference area is simple to reconfigure and durable for any setting. The finishes were upgraded to reflect an upscale hospitality meeting space. We worked with the HDH, the contractor, and the folding partition vendor to coordinate efforts for this project. We were also consulted on artwork and furniture that fit into the budget.
For the Physician’s Dining, Serving and Lounge areas, we worked closely with the hospital to create a Service Area that will offer healthy, sit-down eating options, quick grab-and-go items, as well as a specialty coffee bar. The Dining Area offers an variety of seating options which include a private booth (an enclosed, bar-height work area) and open, community table seating areas, the largest of which comes complete with a wall- mounted, widescreen television. The Lounge Area provides a quiet work room, or recharging center, with work chairs, lounge seating, and low level lighting.
