About This Project

Pinnacle Living engaged Cornerstone to assist with an 18,000 sq. ft. renovation and beautification of their Northern Virginia location. They wanted to be seen as a competitive, viable option with updated amenities and a fresh interior palette. We were tasked to design a new front entrance, as well as the entire first-floor public spaces. This included the main reception and waiting areas, dining rooms, library, breakfast bar, resident hallways, solariums, and the relocation of the chapel. A movie-viewing room and roof sky bar are in future plans.

Like most projects, our challenge was to scale and phase the project to the budget restraints and rate of spending. This included many client meetings and pricing exercises to get it right.

We were able to open up the front entrance and library to bring in natural light, giving the appearance of a casual coffee shop environment. Paired with the home-like finish palette and furnishings, the new space helps to warmly attract new residents to the community.
