Cornerstone was awarded the Center of Hope project in 2019. The existing 48,000 sq.ft. building at 1900 Chamberlayne Ave. was purchased by The Salvation Army with the desire to provide the city with temporary housing for Families, Women, and Men with overnight private sleeping areas, essential utilities, food, and social services in order to set goals and future life plans. The Center of Hope provides support humane support for each person, to learn tools for self-support which in turns provides hope for a more successful future.
