The Bedford Woolen Mill is an abandoned historic textiles factory in Bedford, Virginia being investigated for potential new life as a mixed-use development including commercial and residential uses. Our initial steps in confirming the project’s viability include laser scanning the existing structure and generating a BIM model based on the resultant point cloud to verify potential uses for the various volumes of the factory floors.
